Service · standard exchange

Your removed part against an overhauled one.

You pay for the refurbishment, not for a new part. Your removed unit keeps its value instead of sitting on a shelf.

The benefit

Why exchange rather than buy

You know before ordering what your core is worth, and when it may be invoiced.

Firm purchase

Full price

You pay the full value and you keep the part. This is the only option for consumables and single-use parts, or if you have no core to exchange.

Sourcing lead time depends on the part.

Standard exchange

40 to 60 % of the purchase price

You pay for the exchange, not the price of a new part. Your removed unit comes back to us and settles the operation, provided it remains repairable.

Shipped within 24 to 48 h, no sourcing wait.

Order of magnitude observed on our common references. The exact amount depends on the part, the chosen formula and the condition of the returned core. It is given to you before any order.

First choice

The pricing formula

The three formulas of the industry. They differ on one point only: who bears the risk if refurbishing your core costs more than expected. Flat Rate and Cost Plus are mostly found in commercial and regional aviation, Standard Exchange in general aviation.

Tick a formula: the walkthrough below adjusts.

Second choice

The shipping order

Independent of the formula. It is chosen at order time and locked from the first shipment.

How it works

From order to closing, in five steps

With Exchange First, your aircraft is back in service as soon as possible and you commit to getting the core to us within 15 days.

Your combination Flat Rate + Exchange First

  1. Step 1

    You order

The pricing formula and the shipping order are agreed with you at confirmation.

  2. Step 2

    We ship within 24 to 48 h

An overhauled part with its EASA Form 1 or 8130-3.

  3. Step 3

    You remove and replace

Your removed part becomes the core you owe us.

  4. Step 4

Your core reaches us within 15 days

Time counted from invoicing. Email reminders five days before the deadline and on the day itself.

  5. Step 5

    We assess and close

The core is assessed by an approved shop. Its value is refunded to you as soon as it is declared serviceable. No additional invoice.

Our commitments

What we commit to

The core is not an adjustment variable: its value is known, tracked and returned.

  • The value of the core is known before you order. It appears on your quote, next to the exchange price, and is locked at confirmation.
  • The value of the core is refunded after assessment. You pay the exchange price and the value of the core at order time. The core is then assessed by an FAA or EASA approved shop: as soon as it is declared serviceable, its value is refunded. Some accounts benefit from deferred invoicing after evaluation; the rule that applies to you appears on your quote.
  • Two automatic email reminders. The first five days before the deadline, the second on the day itself. You are never caught off guard by the date.
  • The deadline runs from the invoice date. You follow the due date and the days remaining in your customer area, without having to calculate it.

Full transparency

What may cost you more

We would rather say it plainly than bury it in general terms: three situations lead to the core being invoiced.

Core not received within 15 days

The deadline runs from the invoice date. After this date, the value of the core is not refunded. An extension remains negotiable before the due date.

Refurbishment heavier than expected

If the refurbishment cost exceeds that of a standard general overhaul, the difference is invoiced on top, along with non-routine parts. The assessment report is provided to you.

Different P/N or manufacturer

The core must carry the same P/N and come from the same manufacturer as the part delivered. Any other reference is refused and returned to you.

The core is due in run-out condition, in other words Run out. It must come with its “standard exchange material return” form, which we provide, and a return authorization number. It is then analyzed by an FAA or EASA approved shop, which validates or rejects its conformity.
